FAQs
1. Why would I need Pet Monitor Pro⁺ Satellite?+
Your Waggle Pet Monitor relies on cellular connectivity to send alerts. When you're camping or storing your RV somewhere with little or no cellular service, those alerts may not reach you. Pet Monitor Pro⁺ Satellite adds a satellite backup connection, helping your critical alerts get through when cellular coverage isn't available.
2. What alerts are sent through satellite?+
Satellite currently backs up two critical alerts from your Waggle Pet Monitor: temperature spike alerts and power-loss alerts.
3. Do I need to switch it on when I lose cellular service?+
No. The system automatically switches to satellite as the backup path when cellular connectivity is unavailable. When cellular service returns, your Pet Monitor goes back to its normal cellular connection.
4. How quickly will I receive a satellite alert?+
Critical alert data is currently sent by satellite every 30 minutes. Critical alerts include temperature and power-loss alerts.
5. Does Pet Monitor Pro⁺ Satellite guarantee I will always receive an alert?+
It is designed to provide a satellite backup when cellular connectivity is unavailable, but alert delivery can be affected by satellite availability, device connectivity, battery status, and the product's alert limitations.
6. Do I need to point an antenna at a satellite?+
No. Simply position the satellite link where it has as much open, unobstructed sky as possible — away from tall buildings, dense trees and other large obstructions.
7. What is the satellite link (connector)?+
It's the small unit that works together with your Waggle Pet Monitor — think of it as an extra communication lifeline when cellular service isn't available.
8. Do I have to pair it every time my Pet Monitor restarts?+
No. Once paired, the system is designed to reconnect automatically after a Pet Monitor reset.
