FAQs
1. Does This RV Backup Camera System Require a Smartphone or App to Operate?+
No. All live viewing and recording happen directly on the display unit. The app is only used for warranty registration and initial setup. After that, the RV backup camera system works independently without requiring a smartphone, WiFi connection, or cellular data.
2. My Display Shows "NO SIGNAL"—What Do I Do?+
First, confirm the camera is powered on and the antennas are securely attached. Move the monitor closer to the camera and verify they are paired to the correct channel. If the issue persists, restart both the wireless backup camera and display unit.
3. Can I Add More Cameras to My RV Backup Camera System Right Now?+
The system is designed to expand into a full surround-view setup, but some additional cameras are temporarily out of stock during the pre-order phase. Due to high demand, purchases are currently limited to one camera and one display per customer.
4. When Can I Buy Extra Cameras?+
Please contact support@mywaggle.com to order additional cameras. They will also be available directly in our product section soon.
5. My SD Card Isn't Recording. What Should I Check?+
Format the SD card through the monitor's Record menu before first use. For reliable recording performance, use a Class 10 SD card between 8GB and 128GB. This helps ensure your backup camera footage is saved correctly.
6. My RV Backup Camera Feed Looks Blurry or Foggy. Is Something Wrong?+
Check whether moisture or condensation has entered the camera housing. This can occasionally occur in wet or humid conditions. If image quality does not improve, contact our support team with your order number and photos for assistance.
7. Why Does My System Only Record 1 Minute of Video at a Time?+
The system is designed for backing, parking, and maneuvering, where most actions are completed within a minute. Short recording intervals help protect recorded footage and reduce the risk of file corruption.
8. Is the RV Backup Camera Weatherproof?+
Yes. The camera features an IP67-rated housing that protects against dust, rain, road spray, and temporary water exposure. Built for life on the road, this rear-view camera is designed to perform in a wide range of weather conditions.
9. How Do I Know When My RV Backup Camera Battery Is Low?+
The battery indicator on the display provides a quick status check. Green indicates 30–100% battery remaining, while red indicates the battery is below 30%. When the indicator turns red, recharge the camera using the included USB-C cable and power adapter.
10. What Do I Do After Plugging In My Camera to Charge?+
Once charging begins, press the power button on the side of the camera to resume streaming to the display. You can continue using the wireless RV backup camera while it charges.
11. What Do the SD Card Icons on My Display Mean?+
A blue SD card icon indicates available storage and active recording capability. A red icon means the card is full and recording will stop. When overwrite mode is enabled, the RV observation system automatically replaces the oldest recordings to free up storage space.
12. How Do I Back Up and Clear My SD Card?+
Remove the SD card from the display unit and transfer the recorded files to your computer. Once backed up, reinsert the card and navigate to Menu → Record → Format → On to restore available storage space and continue recording.
13. Can a Suction Cup be used for mounting the camera outside my RV vehicle?+
Suction mounts are not supported for this product and are not recommended. The camera can be securely mounted using one of the following methods:
- Magnetic Base – The camera's built-in magnetic base securely attaches to any metal surface, such as your RV's bumper.
- Mounting Bracket (Recommended) – For RVs without a suitable metal surface, the included mounting bracket can be installed using screws. This provides the most secure and reliable installation.
- 3M Adhesive Tape – If you prefer not to drill into your RV, you may attach the mounting bracket using the 3M adhesive tape provided. Please note that prolonged exposure to weather and temperature changes may reduce the adhesive's effectiveness over time.
14. My Camera's solar is not working efficiently as my battery percentage is dropping and sustaining for less than a day only.+
Initially, once you receive your RV Observation System, please charge the camera for 8 hours before use. After charging, install and set up the device on your RV for optimal and sustained battery performance.
Please note that the solar panel is intended only as a backup charging source and is not designed to support continuous streaming for extended periods. Since the camera consumes power while streaming, solar charging may only provide limited additional runtime rather than continuously sustaining the battery during prolonged streaming.
